ヨーロッパ南部原産で、現在は世界中に分布している。日本には1990年代に侵入したと思われる。寄主植物はブタナなどの黄色の花を持つキク科。

This species is originated from southern Europe but now widespread in the world. In Japan, it seems to invaded in 1990s. It breeds on yellow flower of Asteraceae such as Hypocoeris radicata.
